Canesten treatments contain the active ingredient Clotrimazole, an antifungal that is used to treat fungal and yeast infections. Clotrimazole is most commonly used to treat candida infections of the vagina (vulvitis), and candida infections of the skin such as sweat rash and nappy rash. The Canesten range of antifungals also provides treatment of conditions including female thrush (i.e. vaginal thrush or vulvitis), male thrush (balanitis), athlete's foot, and ringworm.
